Clarity Therapy is now offering a new service, EDMR therapy. This approach has become well known in the treatment individuals suffering with PTSD or childhood trauma.

EDMR stands for “Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing.” It is a recognized integrative psychotherapy approach proven effective in the treatment of trauma. It is also successful in the treatment of other psychological stress—conditions such as anxiety, panic attacks, phobias, and other disorders.

EDMR combines behavioural therapy with a series of guided eye movements to help you process traumatic memories and how you react to them. “The goal of EMDR therapy is to leave you with the emotions, understanding, and perspectives that will lead to healthy and useful behaviors and interactions.” (source: EDMR Canada).
